Bugfix for interface.c

Do you know which patch broke things? I have 10 Solaris 7 servers running
samba and I have not seen this problem.

I am at the same kernel patch level

SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise
