OK folks, does this mean that noone has a clue?
More developments:
Now installed 2.2-beta1 and I still get the exact same error, however I have
now turned logging on and get the following in my log file:
[2000/12/06 10:51:43, 0] lib/util_sock.c:set_socket_options(165)
Failed to set socket option SO_KEEPALIVE (Error Bad file number)
[2000/12/06 10:51:43, 0] lib/util_sock.c:set_socket_options(165)
Failed to set socket option TCP_NODELAY (Error Bad file number)
[2000/12/06 10:53:00, 1] smbd/files.c:file_init(152)
file_init: Information only: requested 10000 open files, 1014 are
available.
would these be causing the problem?
