FILE SHARING PASSWORD

I have done it in my Slackware and it runs ok. But when I have installed
samba in a SUSE 7.0 I didn't need to configure anything to share a disk in
Win98. Why can I enter directly to the computer with win98 with no passwd,
and with no fill smbpasswd?
