Uppercase to lowercase

Is there a way to prevent samba from making upper case letters in files 
lower case?  This creates a headache when developing java stuff because 
jvms REQUIRE that the bloody ..class file have a name that exactly 
matches the name of a class within the file.  We have a work around but 
it is nonetheless a nuisance.
