It is relevant to me because I'll need to remember where it went! :-|

Since the linux kernel goes into "/usr/src/linux"
(->/usr/src/liunux-2.2.16),
I suspect that an acceptable place to un'tar it would be from
"/usr/src".

Does this seem appropriate to y'all?
