Keepalive does not work

Hi!
Here is my problem:
When dos/windoze client freezes within reading/writing to file on samba 2.0.7 smbd still reports its connection and opened or locked files. After rebooting client smb reports its connection twice and client cannot open formerly locked files.

I've tried to force samba to drop freezed connections by keepalive=<number_of_seconds> or SO_KEEPALIVE socket option. It seems to me not working. 

Can anyone help me?
What additional informations I can supply?
