Dear list readers:

    I've installed the most recent Samba from source on my Redhat Linux
server. The simple file share I've made shows up, the machine pings
correctly, and does ftp and apache fine, but won't let anyone login to
Samba.  For example:

$ smbclient '//WWW.PSYCH.UDEL.EDU/SIMPLE/' -U me
added interface ip=128.175.41.164 bcast=128.175.41.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Password:
Domain=[SIMPLE] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.0.7]
tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname (Invalid network name in tree
connect.)

Any idea what this error means????

I've checked things like my services on ports 137/139, and that the
smbd/nmbd processes are running. Below is my simple smb.conf:

# Samba config file created using SWAT
# Date: 2000/08/10 21:01:21

# Global parameters
[global]
    workgroup = SIMPLE
    netbios name = PSYCHOLOGY_SERVER
    netbios aliases = WWW
    server string = PSYCHOLOGY_SERVER
    wins support = Yes
    default service = homes

[test]
    comment = just a test
    path = /export/samba/test
    guest account = guest
    writeable = Yes
    guest ok = Yes

[homes]

Thanks for your help and suggestions
