Hello.

|We don't need the OS to handle anything other than the normal character set
|as such, since we'll be administering the servers from here, but I thought
|it worth checking that Samba won't need to know anything different to work
|when applications are saving files using double-byte character sets etc.

|Has anyone had any experience with this?

Please set "client code page" parameter and maybe "coding system"
parameter.

Also maybe you need to set "valid chars" parameter.

And if you want to use a share name with double-byte character, you
need to use samba 2.0.7 or later.
