Locking error in the installation of Samba

Hi, please help with the following problem:

I m trying to install samba-2.0.6 on solaris 7. 
When I run configure script, it gives me an error 

checking configure summary 
ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe 
configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config
