redhat->nt printing problem after samba upgrade

Here's another data point:

smbclient -L lana.ps.uci.edu

...works with 1.9.18p6, but fails with 2.0.5a.  lana runs NT.

The error message with 2.0.5a is just like when I try to print:

symba-root) smbclient -L lana.ps.uci.edu
Added interface ip=128.200.47.45 bcast=128.200.47.255
nmask=255.255.255.0
session request to LANA.PS.UCI.EDU failed
session request to *SMBSERVER failed
symba-root)

Is samba miscompiled or something?  Does this even have anything to do
with smb.conf?
