Can't even connect to my server via ping/http/telnet

Thanks for the help.  It was a TCP/IP problem...I had my domain listed
under TCP/IP settings for my
dialup adapter, not just my ethernet adapter, so it was looking for my
site
under a domain it wasn't really under.  A stupid problem, it just
presented
it in a weird way.  I still can't figure out why I couldn't connect using
an
IP adress, but at least it's working!
