samba not logging windows user names

Ronald,

Can you get a netmon capture of the entire session?  Or 
a raw tcpdump-smb of it?  If you use tcpdump, make sure 
that you use a sufficient snap length as to get the 
entire packet(s).

This is probably the only way to really determine the
order of events  here.  

Do you have Steve's (Litt) address?  I've misplaced 
it for the moment.  Please copy him as well.
