[smbfs] Timing problems with kernel 2.2.x?

autofs does not appear to be affected (ie "it works for me"). I'm using it
without problems. But I can see the early return.

% touch tmp/aa tmp/bb
% mount -t smb -o username=u,password=p //server/share /mnt/tmp; ls tmp
tmp:
aa  bb  
% ls tmp
tmp:
<files from the server>

It would be interesting to know if 2.0.6pre1 do the same ... 2.0.5?
2.0.5 included a lot of changes from 2.0.4 didn't it?
