File Creation Problems

Since upgrading to current samba release on a Solaris server, several
standard applications are unable to open new files. Esp. problematic have
been Visual Studio C++ v. 6.0, and Netscape Composer 4.5.  We can open,
edit, and save existing files, but cannot create new files or projects.

Are we the only ones having these problems? Could this be a configuration
issue?
