Hello,
I've configured the smb.conf like this
#
name resolve order = lmhosts host wins
#
trying to prevent the need for name resolution mechanisms. However I don't
really know how things work and was trying a trial and error approach.
But my question is: Is it possible to use SAMBA without native broadcast
using in its place files listing the names and IPs involved (eg: lmhosts)?
Did anyone out there already accomplished this?
Thanks for your concern.
Best regards,
        Carlos
