Code Page 1252

I was very surprised to see that Samba doesn't currently support code page 1252 (the Unicode subset codepage).
I can only assume that everybody is using Samba on Windows only in the command line window, since this is the only code page that allows characters to be mapped the same in a command line window (with chcp 1252) and in the windowing system.

Has anybody created a code page file for 1252 or are there any plans to do so?
