The problem with messages that don't appear has to do with the
use of "multipart/mixed" incorrectly.
Here's that part of the header from one of your "disappeared"
messages:
} Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
} MIME-Version: 1.0
} X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.5 [en] (X11; I; Linux 2.0.36 i586)
Here's the same part of the header from this one:
} Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
} MIME-Version: 1.0
} X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.5 [en] (X11; I; Linux 2.0.36 i586)
Here's a correct multipart/mixed header, generated from another
mail client, Eudora:
} Mime-Version: 1.0
} Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="=====================_898956547==_"
What's missing from your (and other people's!) multipart/mixed
MIME headers is what the boundary between the parts looks like,
That's what produces the empty-looking messages.
I'll let someone else work on your questions! :-)
