Was it pcnfsPro 2.0 from Sun?  If so these client used 
their own TCP/IP stack.  The wsock32.dll they installed 
was ~165Kb.  Delete this one. There should be a 
\windows\system\wsock32.dl-  Rename this to wsock32.dll
(~42Kb) and you'll be in business.
