Failed to get local UDP socket

Does this error occur only when you try to connect to a local smb service?

If yes:
Can you ping your local address?

If no:
Did you install the local loopback device properly?

I had this error message when I forgot to install the loopback adapter.
Check, if ifconfig displays the lo-adapter for 127.0.0.1.
