Switching from Server to Domain security

Hie all,

Can anyone explain me how to switch from server to domain security.
When I change my smb.conf, security = server to security = domain,
and I restart the two daemons, I cannot map a share that is allowed to
me in server security mode.

I've read that security = domain uses less memory on the server, because
the 'user/password checking' is done one time, ans is more quick than in
server mode.

I would greatly appreciate some help, because the samba server is really
running well (2.0.4b) and I'm just trying to 'tune' it.
