Clear text passwords on Windows NT5 beta 2?

Hi!
Since we are using Samba to connect to AFS filespace, we need to provide
Samba with the clear text version of the password.

How could this be achieved in Windows NT5 beta2? I did no find this trick
mentioned in the archive ...
