win98 printing problems

Hi all.  I'm using 1.9.18p10 on a RH 5.0/5.2 system, and having some
printing problems with a (the only) win98 client.

I'm using the same smb.conf file that works fine on a win95 client.

It seems to print, but leaves a spool file in /tmp and a dialog box
appears on the win98 client stating 'Contact Administrator'.

There are no messages in /var/log/samba-log.* that indicates there was a
problem, and the machine is otherwise the same.

Any ideas?
