Samba Linux election

I have an NT Domain setup with a PDC and a BDC. In the smb.conf file there
is an option to validate win95 machines.  Apparently this also tries to
validate NT machines as well. I am running RedHat Linux 5.2 with Samba
2.0.2. 

I would like to know how to sync the samba password and the NT password, or
am I doing something wrong that they aren't sync'ed??
