Problems With Configure Script On Solaris 2.6

I am having a Problem when I run the configure script in the source
directory.  I works for some time and then come back with the following
error .

ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe
configure: error:  summary failure. Aborting config

Does any one have any suggestions on how I can fix this?
