Internal error when running Samba v2.0.2

I do not subscribe to this mailing list but I have a question that I hope 
someone can shed some light on.

We were running 2.0.0 of Samba on a AlphaServer 1000A 5/400 running DU4.0B and 
users this morning came in and randomly were getting an error message within 
Windows95 applications saying "performed an illegal operation" and then closes 
the program not allowing them to finish the operation.

Upon investigation we found a Panic error in the /local/samba/var/log.smb log 
that looks like the following;

We then upgraded to v2.0.2 of Samba and users have since logged in and are 
working away BUT upon further investigation this error is still happening as

We have only had one user say that since the upgrade she got the same error 
"performing an illegal operation..." 

What I am now wondering is if it is Samba that is actually causing the problem 
or is perhaps the box running out of resources of some sort causing these 
panic messages????

I would appreciate any response that may shed some light on this as I am not 
that familiar with Samba.
