Just for info:
runned in a simmilar problem. File on server (destination) was created with
an equal size to the source file (NT box, but doesn't matter). Content of
file was all low value (0x00).
Cause: Filesystem was out of inodes/files. Looking at the samba log there
was no error reported.
Why files are could be created when the filesystem was full? I don't know.
