configure problem with samba-2.0.1

Hi samba gurus,

I am having problems running configure on solaris-2.6 with gcc-2.7.2.1
My hardware is a Sun Ultra 10.
I get the following error:

checking configure summary
ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe
configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config

samba-2.0.0 would complete the configure but failed to compile.

any thoughts?
