Tree connect : Errbadpwd / Inventbadpwd

hi,
I have redhat 6.0 /samba 2.0.3.  I'm a first timer in samba configuration.  I
had my smb.conf from smb.sample of the installation.  I was guided by my book
Mastering Linux (redhat 6.0).  Mine smb.conf was exactly conforme with the book
but still error of connecting is evident.

My win box was able to see the samba server on the network neighborhood but
prompted by a password to connect.  I entered all the password I have but to no
avail.  What's lacking?  Please help.
