There are 2 methods:
1) inetd (/etc/inetd.conf)
2) init script you usually find in init.d

The preferred is 2. You have to tell your linux box to start it
automatically at boot.
Can't tell you how to do it, because I don't know suse. I think you
could do it with yast.
