Are you doing something like this, because this works for me:

'net use * \\machine\share * /user:othermachinename\userid' ?

If you have accounts on 2 non trusted domains, you could also do:

'net use * \\machine\share * /user:domain_name\userid'

- From explorer or something, do 

Path   \\machine\share
Connect as    machinename\userid
