RH6 Printtool and SMB

When I start printtool on my Mandrake ("RedHat Plus") 6.0 system, I
receive an error stating that Samba "does not appear to be installed". I
am also having no luck installing a smb printer. I want to be able to
print from my Linux box to my Win98 machine. 

Does anyone know the source of the printtool error or can anyone assist
in setting up the smb printer? 

Kernel 2.2.9, Samba 2.0.5a.
