We're actually planning on moving to an environment quite like this, except
we're not going to use the native Solaris/braindead print spooling sw.
Instead we're going to use LPRng and also try to incorporate some of the ideas
that Cisco implemented: http://www.tpp.org/CiscoPrint/

Does Samba2 not have LDAP support yet? (I haven't looked or been concerned
about this yet). Also, does Solaris 2.6 (how about 2.7?) support LDAP
authentication? That would be really cool! I would love to move off of NIS
user authentication to LDAP instead!

Please reply to plussier at baynetworks.com. The corp sendmail people insist on
rewriting outgoing mail (including Reply-to: headers!) to send to
'@nortelnetworks.com' which we keep telling them is quite broken, but they
don't listen :)

I've been bought, sold, and now given away :)

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
