Automatic reconnect on logon

We have two samba servers one linux and one sun, and
we have the following problem. 
Users can connect to their home directories and all works
fine. But as they shutdown and restart their NT-workstation
they can't connect to the share. They first have to disconnect it
and than connect it again. The funny thing is on one workstation
it does work while on the other 6 it doesn't. 
Workstations are NT4+SP3+passwdcryptthiny.reg. 
Samba i have tried about every version up to 2.0.0.b2
Annybody know what it could be ?
