Stopping broadcasts on local network?

Our engineering environment is on a segregated network.  (Unix only.)
We have setup the latest SAMBA on a HP-UX system.  We have "remote
announce = rem.ote.255.255" so that the PCs on the general network can
see our server.  That works well.

How do we keep the Samba server from broadcasting on the local network?

(Please reply to me direct.  I just quit the email list due to my
