iso9959-1 support in Samba ?

Has anyone successfully made Samba read and write all characters in the
iso8859-1 alphabet from a Windows 95 & NT 4.0 box ?  I have looked for
this without success, and I have tried several ways to make it work with
the latest versions of Samba.  The characters I especially need are íÍ,
óÓ, éÉ, áÁ, ýÝ, úÚ, öÖ, þÞ, æÆ and ðÐ.
