Samba Functionality

Does Samba have the ability to run on NT 4.0 such that Unix clients
could be supported?  I know this is atypical but I would like to have my
NT systems act as a central repository for all NT and Unix filesystems.

Basically, I need to present directories to unix users that are actually
"mounted" back to the NT system.
