Linux+samba replacement for NT

Hello all:

We are on our way to do it. We recently got a new machine(Dual PII400) and
we have installed Linux and samba ( latest kernel relese and latest
samba). I was reading the NT domain FAQ and trying to setup the server
such that NT workstation clients can autheticate from Samba server using
smbpasswd.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I am making Samba
+ Linux as our PDC. I could not find any detailed instructions of how to
do it.

The other question is about the profiles. Where are profiles going to be
stored and what changes should i make on the NT box and Linux server in
order for people to get their right profiles. 

Please point me to the right place or right person, who is really willing
to help.
