fake oplocks vs oplocks

Does the performance boost of using oplocks really shows against fake
oplocks?

I mean, that we were using fake oplocks and now we´re using oplocks, but
I cannot really tell if we have an increase inperformance or not!!

Do they work the same if we talk only about performance?
