I just recently upgraded to 1.9.18p1. I've had a lot of nmbd failures and
some curious events (hung smbd processes etc) with smbd. The speed increase
in 1.9.18p1 is dramatic but nmbd crashed out twice already and I cannot deal
with that level of instability. I have a 120+user network with two subnets
divided by a bay router. Earlier today the nmbd process retched all over
the place and stopped cold. No logins AT ALL. The nmbd process posted the
following errors on Debug level 5:

process_logon_packet: Logon from 172.16.224.71: code = 7
process_logon_packet: Logon from 172.16.224.56: code = 0

this is shortly before it died.
I looked at smbstatus and I have about 40+ users online. I check to see,
physically, if they are still there and the machines have been logged out
but the processes are hung.
I cannot figure out what is going on.
I'd like to use 1.9.18p1 but I can't with this problem.
any suggestions?
