memory consumption under Redhat

I have Redhat 5.0 with 2 processors and 128MB EDO
samba seems to bloat up and consume alot of memory with the new version.

It grabs the entire RAM within 5 to 6 hours of use and doesn't let it up
even when users leave the mounts. I think the performance is excellent
and have tried taking read prediction off, changing the max imit
setting, keep alive etc. with no results. Anybody got any suggestions.
