Err... you know, Windows Nt supports SMB protocol from native.
Samba is a server that permits you to emulate SMB protocol on a computer
supporting TCP/IP (it is a very short way saying what samba does).

I don't understand your need of Samba on NT...
All things Samba does, NT does (er ok it is not really true....)
