NMBD Strangeness in Samba 1.9.17p5 for local domain..

Hi.. I've recently started having some problems with Samba (not the usual
functionality issues)
now that I'm trying to get Amanda up and running.  My Samba server (Sparc
Ultra Enterprise 450,
Solaris 2.6) is unable to lookup NT hostnames for some reason.  Some it can
lookup, others it
can't -- make that "most" it can't!  In looking through the logs, I'm
finding the stuff below and I'm
wondering if there is a problem with my domain/workgroup.  The network
people here have been
re-organizing our super-domains over the last few weeks and I'm wondering if
perhaps I'm getting
nuked due to something related to that.  One interesting thing to note is
that Samba appears to be
sending a host announce for DH (that is the workgroup Samba is in), and a
response is returned
at the end from another NT Workstation box, and NOT the PDC..  Now I'm
definately a NT networking
newbie, but that sounds fishy to me!

Any ideas are appreciated!
