second post.

I have managed to get some browsing working with samba.  I have
followed the instructions to set up a wins server
but my wins server is not working.
it's not holding any names, it's not resolving any names.
I can cat $sambahome/var/locks/wins.dat and see my hostnames
(with other crap) but none will resolve.... well, I take that
back, hosts will resolve on the SAME NETWORK but I can't do this

WINS SERVER IP = 206.206.178.2
TICKER=206.206.178.5
that resolves
NOMAD=198.232.139.5
that will not resolve.

ps: please... I just installed a new version of samba.  does wins 
simply not work? 
pps: are the only ports that are needed tcp/139 and udp/137? not
tcp/udp 138 ?
