variable substitution with include

Hi fellow Samba admin,

Variable substitution with "include =" doesn't seem to work.

For example in my smb.conf file I have:
[global]
include = /opt/samba/lib/smb.conf.global.%h

When I run testparm I get this:
Load smb config files from /usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf
Can't find include file /opt/samba/lib/smb.conf.global.

The "%h" gets replace by nothing instead of the hostname.  Why.
I am using Samba 1.9.18p2 on Solaris 2.5.1
