Browsing and security = user

On my path form 1.9.x to samba cvs head, I tried to switch from
security = share
to
security = user

If I do so, then "net view" on Win NT 4.0SP4 clients will return with error
code 5 (Access denied). This is both for 1.9.18p7 and 2.1.0-prealpha. For
1.9.18p7 I can use the explorer to browse the sares *after* I am asked for
username/password, which I can give a fake to.
On the other hand "smbclient -L" works like a charm.

Is this normal behaviour? Or did I go wrong somewhere?

Setup:
- Lots of OSF1 sambas with one WINS server, which is used by the PCs
- (global) browseable = Yes
- guest account = nobody
- no encripted passwords (yet)

Thanks, Axel.
