You cannot have something like a unix account named "administrator": user names 
are limited to 8 characters. You will have to map this account to something unix 
understands, i.e. admin or smbadmin.

Try to make sure which user is used from smbclient by using option -U

Then investigate, why this user cannot connect:

If you have "encrypted passwords = no", try "su - myuser" (myuser replaced by the 
name you supplied with -U) and then "id". You should be logged in as that user.

If you have "encrypted passwords = yes", inspect your smbpasswd file.
