Try running "smbpasswd -e USERNAME" for each user that can't log
in. 'smbpasswd' seems to set each account to disabled when you first set
the passwd (if you don't use the "-e" the first time). This will probably
be a big FAQ for the 2.0 series. It took me a while to figure it out,
until I saw a "D" in the [] section of the smbpasswd entries.

Wins works by broadcast messages. Most routers don't forward
broadcast messages. I'm not completely sure off the top of my head how to
fix this, but have a look at the "remote browse sync" & "remote announce"
options.
