How do I get SIGHUP to re-register my Netbios name and server des cription

Hi there,

I am trying to figure out how to use SIGHUP to change the Netbios name and
server description without stopping and starting NMBD using SIGTERM.  Has
anyone have any sample code that uses SIGHUP to change the Netbios name and
server description?  

Is it a bug, if SIGHUP doesn't accept my new configuration parameters?  If
it is not, what does SIGHUP do?

Any insights to this matter is much appreciated.
