Samba Beta 2

I would appreciate if anyone could help with the following problem.

I have compiled and installed Samba 2.0 Beta 2. It compiled with no
problems however smbd does not run.
Compilation was on a RS6000 running AIX 4.2.1.

Here is a copy of the log.smb file if it helps.

My smb.conf is pretty basic and I don't think that it is causing the
problem.

I would appreciate any help in this matter.
