2 nmbd

Hi all
    I've just upgraded samba from 17 to 18p4
when I first started it up from inetd I had about five nmbd's running
and they weren't under inetd

I commented out the lines

#netbios-dgm    138/tcp                         # NETBIOS Datagram Service
#netbios-dgm    138/udp

in my /etc/services file

and now inetd is running nmbd, but it is running two of them with concurrent
PIDs

looking at another machine that sitill runs 17 there is only the one nmbd
running

is this the correct behaviour and if not how do I fix it

I'm running slackware with kernel 2.0.33
